Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park/Riverbend Park

If you are a history enthusiast, this park is the one for you. This 61.14-acre park was the location of the Powell’s Battle and the Jesup’s Battle. Both took place in the year 1838. It is located at 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL 33478 and is open from early in the morning until sunset. But please note, pets are prohibited from this area.

Want a relaxing day under the sun, just sipping a few cold drinks and enjoying al fresco with friends? At Riverbend, picnic tables are situated throughout this beautiful environment and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  There is vehicular access to the picnic area and there are designated parking spaces near the park for your convenience. Thinking of having a bigger party? The East Grove Picnic Area and the Big Hammock Picnic Area can sit up to 20 to 30 people. Need more space? The Cow Pen Picnic Area can accommodate up to 45 people wherein you can enjoy barbequing. Bring your bikes or jogging gear if you want some enjoyment and exercise as well. Bicycle and canoe rentals are situated around the park if you don’t have equipment at hand. Is fresh water fishing your way to relax and unwind?  You guessed it!  Fishing is also an option at Riverbend Park.

Jupiter Beach Park

This park has a guarded swimming area to provide safety for the people close to shore. Within this area, surfing and saltwater fishing are prohibited. Jupiter Beach Park has a 1,700 foot guarded beach frontage, picnic pavilions and picnic areas with grills. Enjoy sand volleyball, convenient and accessible restroom facilities and outdoor showers. Parking your vehicles will not be a problem and you can bring your pets too!
